I offer custom painting lessons to small groups (4-5 is the limit at any given time) in my studio located in the San Jose Baymeadows area. Here, you will learn the basics of representational or abstract techniques using acrylic, watercolor or oil. You will also learn how to achieve ultimate color combinations through the use of light, glazing, lost edge, impasto and temperature. We will paint indoor as well as in the garden. I have 40 years of experience on which to draw, as a teacher, and a professional artist. I have hand-crafted an intentional learning environment unlike any other, and I invite you to join me to create beautiful work in it!
Adult Classes: Schedule: Monday to Friday- Customize your schedule as my availability permits. The schedule tends to be - Mornings 10am to 1pm, afternoons- 2pm - 5pm (though it's customizable) "All mediums" - Watercolor, acrylics, oils, and charcoal drawing. If we get several people in a particular medium then we can isolate that group for more specific demonstrations and targeted classes.
Adult Tuition: A drop rate for any class I offer is
for $60 per each 3 hour class ($20. per hour) al la carte, however if
you are new to painting , I
recommend taking a minimum of 4 classes, and offer a discounted rate of
$200 ($16.66 per hour for the Series Set). That way I can get you past many typical hurdles beginners face, and get you painting well more quickly. Some supplies included. Adult classes: a supply list will be
provided for the oil painting and acrylic classes. Join me in the
pleasure of self expression through art. Call (904) 309-0151 to discuss
dates that fit for our schedule, or email email@example.com
Saturday and Sunday - KIDS CLASSES ONLY -9 am to 12 noon, 1pm to 4pm. Ages (6-16) and mediums include pen and ink, charcoal, pencil drawing, basic structure and exploring imaginative themes. I also cover clay sculpture and armatures, figure drawing, still life, book illustration, watercolors, acrylics, and even oils!
KIDS CLASSES MATERIALS LIST: Drawing is the basis of
all art! A Sketchbook
loose or hardbound, is all you need to start! We may add as we explore the needs and interest level of each child. If they pass my standards of drawing (I have loads of markers
and colored pencils, and some basic paints for color), then if they want to paint, we can move
them up to the painting level in acrylics, watercolors or oils. At that time you would invest in a few small canvases. If they want to explore clay, it
is best to buy air dry clay at local paint stores. *Must be 6 or older to attend a kids class to 16 after that it is considered an adult class. Kids Class Tuition: $100. for four up to three hour classes. I charge less for kids and generous time to allow them to explore, relax and grow into their true creative selves!
